Dave Kinchen is an American journalist who has worked as a general reporter since October 2011 for FOX 29 News.
For nearly four years, he worked as a leading political reporter and also covered general reporting as one of NBC’s affiliate meteorologists in Flint, Michigan. He also anchored news and interviewed the then presidential candidate, Barack Obama.
His career began as a production assistant and writer for WXYZ-TV in Detroit between college semesters. He has also worked for WNEM-TV in Saginaw, MI, and WLNS-TV in Lansing, MI. Kinchen has experience related to public policy and has worked with organizations such as National League of Cities and the Michigan Municipal League.
Kinchen is an alumnus of Michigan State University where he studied and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Political Theory and Constitutional Democracy along with Journalism.
