Biography of Jamie Ostroff
Jamie Ostroff is an American journalist who currently works at NBC4 as an investigative reporter since joining the station in January 2021. She came to NBC4 from Shreveport, Louisiana, where she worked as an anchor and investigative reporter.
Ostroff graduated from University of Miami degree in Broadcast Journalism in 2009. She also has a master’s degree in legal studies at Pepperdine Caruso School of Law. Jamie’s school was Wootton High School.
After school, Jamie interned at WSVN Channel 7 and WETA. At WSVN, he assisted producers in the newsroom’s special projects division. In June 2009, she interned at MSNBC, where she primarily assisted in the research and production of “Countdown with Keith Olbermann”.
Jamie’s first job was as a desk assistant on PBS’s The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer. After spending 7 months at the station, she got a job at WSVN Channel 7 in Miami, Florida as a news writer, working for 1 year.
Utilizing his previously gained experience, Jamie began working at KIFI News Group in Idaho Falls, Idaho as an anchor, reporter and producer. For two years, she topped the top-rated weekend newscasts in eastern Idaho and western Wyoming, while producing the 10pm show on Saturdays and Sundays.
As of October 2013, Jamie served as a video journalist for WINK-TV in Fort Myers, Florida. A year later, she moved to WIAT 42 in Birmingham, Alabama, where she served as a reporter and anchor.
In 2018, Jamie moved to Shreveport, Louisiana to work as a news anchor and investigative reporter for KTBS Channel 3. It was while working at the station that she got her current job at WCMH-TV, NBC4 in Columbus, Ohio, United States.
