Alan Frio is an American journalist who currently works for WSMV-TV Nashville, Tennessee as a reporter and news anchor at 4 pm on weekends. He used to host Channel 4’s morning show, News 4 Today, and Noon News before being promoted to weekend news anchor. Frio is a graduate of Temple University in Philadelphia. He graduated with a BA in Communications.
After graduating, he joined WCAU-TV CBS-owned station in Philadelphia. He worked here as an anchor and reporter for the main nightly news from 1982 to 1984. Later, in 2004, he joined the WSMV as an anchor and reporter. He is currently the station’s weekend anchor at 4pm.
