Debra Morgan is an American Emmy-winning journalist who currently works at WRAL-TV as an anchor and reporter since joining the station in 1993. Prior to joining WRAL-TV, she worked as a reporter at WJXT in Jacksonville from 1990 to 1993.
Born and raised in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Morgan graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Miami with a BA in Communication and Psychology. In addition to being an eight-time Emmy Award winner, she received the 2006 Five Star Award, the Women of Achievements Award in Journalism from the North Carolina Women’s Club.
In addition to her reporting and anchor roles, she serves on the North Carolina Alzheimer’s Community Foundation Board. She is also the Honorary Chair of the Walk to Cure Diabetes for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
