Randy McIlvoy is an American journalist who currently serves as the Sports Director and anchor for the television channel KPRC 2. Prior to joining his current station, he worked in Port Arthur, Beaumont and Dallas.
McIlvoy participated Herod Elementary and Fondren Middle Schooll in Hoston, Texas. He later graduated from Bellaire College in 1985 and then obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Sam Houston State University in 1989.
His television career began in 1989 after graduating from college. He served on television in Port Arthur, Dallas and Beaumont. He later got a job opportunity at KPRC and joined the network in 2004 as Director of Sports.
While in Dallas, Randy worked as a lead anchor for Fox Sports Net’s Southwest Sports Report. He worked for six years covering high school sports. As of now, he presents shows on KPRC2 Sports at 5pm, 6pm and 10pm. He also appears on Sports Sunday every Sunday night at 11pm. Furthermore, he works as a host for Friday Football and Huston Texas Gameday.
