Emily Maitlis is a British journalist, documentary filmmaker and former BBC news reader. She was the main anchor for BBC Two’s news and current affairs program Newsnight until the end of 2021 and covered elections for the BBC mainly in the UK, US and Europe. In February 2022, Maitlis announced that she was joining forces with former BBC journalist Jon Sopel to host a daily radio show and podcast for LBC Radio, owned by media giant Global.
