Ty Pennington is an American television presenter, artist, carpenter, author and former model and actor. He rose to prominence with his role as a carpenter on the TLC reality show Trading Spaces (2000-2003), and continued when he hosted the ABC reality show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (2003-2012). He subsequently won two Primetime Emmy Awards.
