Jonathan Jackson biography
Jonathan Jackson is an American journalist who has currently worked as a reporter for NBC4 since February 2021. Originally from the Metro-Detroit area, Jackson began his career at WNEM-TV in Saginaw and Flint, Michigan as a reporter and understudy anchor.
Jonathan graduated from Oakland University Bachelor in Communication and Bachelor in Broadcasting and Journalism. In Oakland, he served as the student video production services department.
As of January 2015, Jonathan worked as a multimedia reporter/intern at Orion Neighborhood Television in Lake Orion, Miami. At the station, he co-hosted and wrote a 30-minute newscast, co-hosted a live marathon for the annual ONTV Food Drive, and produced and edited my own news packages for a biweekly broadcast.
Jackson officially began his casting career at Civic Center Television in West Bloomfield, Miami as a news anchor/reporter. After working for a year and a half, she moved to WNEM TV5 in Saginaw, Michigan Area, where she worked as a reporter.
At WNEM, Jackson covered a number of high-profile stories, such as the aftermath of the Flint Water Crisis and the kidnapping plot against Governor Gretchen Whitmer.
In February 2021, Jonathan left WNEM TV5 to join NBC4, WCMH-TV, in Columbus, Ohio, where he currently works as a reporter. Before getting into television, Jackson worked in radio and appeared on shows like “The Mitch Albom Show” on WJR in Detroit. During his free time, Jonathan enjoys watching sports (especially football), playing video games like Super Smash Bros. or play bowling.
