Olivia Dekker is an American journalist and sports anchor from Kansas City. She is widely recognized for serving as a sideline reporter for ESPN College Football and the NFL at Westwood One Sports. She is also known for appearing as a sideline correspondent for the Big Ten Basketball Network. Prior to working at ESPN, Olivia spent a few years working as a sports correspondent for FOX Sports South and Raycom.
Dekker was born and raised in the suburbs of Mission Hills, Kansas, as the daughter of a play-by-play announcer named Kevin Harlan. She completed elementary and high school in her hometown of Kansas. From there, Dekker joined the University of Georgia, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. She also won the Miss Kansas Teen USA award in 2010 during her senior year in high school.
Olivia then began her career as a sportscaster covering SEC and ACC football updates for FOX Sports South and Raycom. She also co-hosted a popular Green Bay Packers web series known as the Packers TV Network. Olivia then spent about two to four years working as a sideline reporter for Packers TV before becoming a co-host.
Dekker left Packers TV and joined FOX Sports South as a sideline reporter and co-anchor. She even had the opportunity to work alongside her father, Kevin Harlan, while at FOX Sports. This move made Olivia and her father the first father-daughter duo to show up to host and call an NFL game together. Olivia left FOX in 2015 and joined ESPN. She covered World Team Tennis and other games for CBS sports in 2019 while still on ESPN. In 2020, Olivia was given the opportunity to cover several football games for The Big Ten Network before leaving and joining BetMGM.
