Biography of Aixa Diaz
Aixa Diaz is an American journalist who currently serves as the Washington Bureau’s morning correspondent for the KCRA. Prior to joining KCRA, Diaz worked at WESH in Orlando, Florida, WXII-TV in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and WPTZ-TV in Plattsburgh, NY as an anchor and reporter. All are sister stations of Hearst Television.
Aixa has covered everything from local news and adverse weather to domestic and foreign highlights throughout his career. Some of the highlights include the London 2012 Summer Olympics, the 2010 Vancouver Winter Games, the Virginia Tech assassination and the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Regarding his education, Diaz received his bachelor’s degree in communication and graduated summa cum laude from North Carolina State University. Furthermore, she received her Masters in Broadcast Journalism from Boston University. Aixa was an intern at WCVB, a Hearst Television station.
Diaz loves to travel. She has traveled to Europe, China, Australia, the Caribbean, Mexico, Canada and most of the United States.
