Tamara Berg is an American meteorologist, weather anchor, and forecaster who is currently serving as a meteorologist at KCRA 3, Sacramento, California’s weather team since December 2011. Additionally, Berg also spent three years as a meteorologist at KION-TV in Salinas. Tamara is also a member of the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association.
Tamara has a degree in Baldwin-Wallace College common Bachelor of Broadcast Journalism and one Bachelor of Meteorology of Mississippi State University. She is also a member of the American Meteorological Society and the National Meteorological Association.
Berg joined the KCRA 3 weather team in December 2011 after three years of forecasting at KION-TV in Salinas. While at KION, Tamara covered nearly every type of weather condition. She also reported on mudslides, fast-moving wildfires, seismic tremors and the torrent that swept over the Santa Cruz coast in March 2011.
She began her career in Toledo, Ohio, as a weekend meteorologist and weekday general assignment reporter. While in Toledo, Tamara covered exceptional snowfall events and chased summer storms and waterway floods.
In her spare time, Tamara enjoys running. She has finished the Big Sur International Marathon several times and hopes to run the California International Marathon every December. Tamara also enjoys rock climbing, trail running, biking, and snowboarding. She may also want to eventually have her riders allow her. Tamara also volunteers her time with the American Heart Association, SPCA, and enjoys visiting nearby schools to teach children about the climate.
