Aaron Ashmore Biography
Aaron Richard Ashmore is a Canadian actor. He is known for his roles in American television series such as Jimmy Olsen in Smallville, Steve Jinks in Warehouse 13 and Johnny Jaqobis in the Canadian television series Killjoys.
Richard was born in Richmond, British Columbia and grew up in Brampton, Ontario. He attended Turner Fenton Secondary School and Earnscliffe Senior Public School in Brampton, Ontario. Aoran and his twin brother Shawn were discovered by a talent agent in Alberta when they were 10 years old. After that, they were seen in some commercial activities together. Subsequently, Aaron guest-starred on Due South (1996), Animorphs (1998), Emily of New Moon, and The Famous Jett Jackson. He is known for playing Marc Hall in Prom Queen: The Marc Hall Story. He has since appeared in films such as Safe, A Separate Peace and A Bear Named Winnie. Ashmore starred in the recurring role of Troy Vandegraff on the UPN television series Veronica Mars. Earlier, he also played the role of Agent Steve Jinks in the Syfy show Warehouse 13.
Furthermore, he also had guest roles on television shows like The Eleventh Hour, The West Wing, and 1-800-Missing. He was cast as Jimmy Olsen for the sixth season of “Smallville” on the WB TV show and continued to play through the eighth season. Two years later, Ashmore returned to play in the series’ season finale. Early on, his brother had played the role of Jimmy Olsen in the same series as Bryan Singer’s director in Superman Returns before Sam Huntington was cast.
In 2007 he appeared in two films which include The Stone Angel and The Christmas Cottage. Ashmore also starred in the horror film Fear Island. Furthermore, he also appeared in the horror film The Shrine. He also appeared in the romantic comedy Conception as Eric. Furthermore, Ashmore joined the third season of the Syfy series Warehouse 13, in 2011. There he played the role of ATF agent Steve Jinks, a human polygraph who had a unique ability to discern whether someone is lying or not.
Furthermore, Aoraon starred in the rom-com thriller titled ‘I Put a Hit on You as Ray’. In 2015, he played a supporting role in the film Regression. That same year, he also appeared as Nick in an original film titled Swept Under. Likewise, he appeared in the original Syfy series Killjoys. Additionally, Aaron starred as Jesse in his second Lifetime movie, Wish Upon a Christmas.
