Adam Michael Rodriguez was born on April 2, 1975, in New York City. His mother Janet worked as an airline employee, while his father Ramon Rodríguez was a high-level businessman. Adam Rodriguez is Hispanic; his father is half Cuban and half Puerto Rican, while his mother is of Puerto Rican descent.

The young Rodriguez completed his high school education in 1993 at Clarkstown High School North in Clarkstown, Rockland County, New York. He had dreamed of becoming a professional baseball player, but his dreams were shattered by a spinal injury he sustained as a teenager.

He has appeared in films such as Love & Debate (2006), Unknown (2006), and the action-thriller Take (2007). The talented actor played the leading role opposite Taraji P.
