Alan Sealls is an American Chief Meteorologist, winner of thirteen Emmy Awards, currently working at NBC15 WPMI-TV, Mobile, Alabama. He is also an educator at the University of South Alabama. Previously, he worked as Chief Meteorologist at WKRG-TV, Alabama, for 20 years.
He went to Cornell University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology. At Florida State University, he graduated with a master’s degree in meteorology.
Alan began his career as a broadcaster on WALB-TV in Albany, Georgia. For five years, he also worked at Chicago’s WGN-TV. He also worked at WTMJ-TV & Radio, Milwaukee, Wisconsin (1988-1992). Sealls has also created more than four dozen weather videos for schools across North America.
Sealls have professional certifications from the American Meteorological Society (AMS) and the National Weather Association (NWA). He is currently an advisor to the AMS and the NWA.
