Alex Curry biography
Alex Curry is an American journalist who currently works as a reporter for the Angels Weekly and Kings Live broadcasts on Fox Sports. In February 2012, she joined Fox Sports. Since April 2012, Curry has also worked as a Red Bull Sig Series Sideline Reporter for NBC in California. She is also incorporated into the United States Women’s National Team at the 2019 FIA Women’s World Cup in France and contributes to the network’s additional football and college football coverage. Curry also covers the Los Angeles Angels and Los Angeles Kings for Fox Sports West and hosts FS1’s studio shows.
Alex holds a BA in Journalism and Media Studies with a Major in Marketing from San Diego State University. She began working behind the scenes at Joe Lewis Production Company and Fuel TV during her time at SDSU. Curry worked as a production assistant on “Last Call with Carson Daly” and as a talent manager for ESPN’s X Games after college, in addition to filling in as a host on “Fuel TV Download” and “E! New Now.”
Curry spent a month in China in 2011 for FOX College Sports, covering the World University Games. She went on to cover the Pro Beach Volleyball Series for NBC Sports and the Red Bull Signature Series for NBC Sports a year later. Alex was also a side reporter for the CIF-SS Football Game of the Week on FOX Sports West and FS1 and hosted “Tailgate 48” on the Big Ten Network. She also covered Super Bowl XLVIII Celebrity Beach Bowl for Direct TV in New York.
Curry became the host of “Angels Weekly” and “Kings Weekly” on FOX Sports West in 2012. Curry’s role as a reporter for the Angels and Kings broadcasts was expanded in 2014, and she was part of the broadcast team that covered the Kings’ 2014 Stanley Cup Championships. Curry received three Telly Awards for his efforts on the Angels and Kings broadcast teams. She is also a co-host of USA Network’s “American Ninja Warrior: Ninja vs. Ninja” show.
Alex started playing soccer when he was five years old and went on to play competitive soccer for club and varsity at Mira Costa High School. She went on to compete at SDSU, where she helped her team win the 2006 NIRSA National Championship.
Curry and her husband, Jeff, currently reside in Southern California. She volunteered in the Richstone Family Center’s Kids Club After School program as a lifelong Californian. Curry also volunteers for GrowingGreat, a non-profit organization that uses science-based gardening and nutrition education to teach and motivate children to grow up healthy.
