Alex Whittler is an American journalist who currently works as a reporter and anchor for FOX5 Atlanta. It features the 10 pm and 11 pm news. Furthermore, Alex joined the station in January 2020.
Whittler began studying in 2008 at La Cueva High School-Albuquerque, New Mexico and graduated in 2012. He later joined Loyola University Chicago in 2012, Loyola where he majored in political science and dance. In 2016, she graduated with a degree in journalism. She then joined the Medill Journalism School in the same year and graduated in 2017 with a master’s degree.
Most notably, she started her journalist career in Chicago. In Chicago, she was working on every TV newsroom in the city except one, including WMA, WNG, WBBM, and WLS. She has done internships at Cosmopolitan magazine and the TODAY show. Additionally, she has written freelance articles for TODAY.com, Cosmopolitan, and NBCNews.com.
Most recently, she docked and reported in Richmond, Virginia. She covered breaking news events. This was from the mass shooting in Virginia Beach to the near-record snowfall. She also covered the deadly tornadoes caused by Hurricane Florence. When she is out of her duties, she looks for ways to get involved in the community. She speaks to students and organizes charity events.
