Alexa Shaw is an American journalist who currently serves as the host of Washington Capitals Pre/Postgame on NBC Sports. Prior to joining NBC in July 2019, she worked as a side reporter for Fox Sports Southwest.
She attended and graduated from Valencia High School. While in high school, she started her own YouTube channel at age 17, where she posted her interviews with top athletes. Later, she enrolled at Texas Christian University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in sports broadcasting with a major in journalism in December 2018.
She worked as a reporter at Fox Sports Southwest before joining NBC Sports. While here, she provided coverage for Texas high school football games. Furthermore, she worked for FP Semifinal as a reporter and presenter at the stadium between Notre Dame and Clemson.
