Allison Rodriguez is an American journalist who currently works as an anchor and multimedia journalist for ABC15 since returning to the station in March 2020. Her return came after spending time in the Bay Area, reporting and anchoring at KTVU Fox2 in Oakland, California.
While at KTVU, she covered crucial news assignments including widespread PG&E power outages, devastating wildfires, and the housing and homelessness crisis. Before all of that, she spent six years at ABC15 News, initially joining the team in September 2013. During that time, she covered some of Arizona’s biggest stories. Some of the stories include massive monsoon storms, the death of longtime Senator John McCain, the Red for Ed marches, Super Bowl XLIX, and more.
Additionally, she spent two years at KYMA in Yuma, AZ, anchoring and producing the weekend primetime newscasts. Being so close to the California and Mexican borders, she was able to cover a wide range of stories that crossed state and international boundaries in both English and Spanish.
Born in Chicago and raised in the northwest suburbs, she earned her bachelor’s degree from Columbia College Chicago. When she’s off the clock, she loves spending time with her family and watching a good movie. She feels very blessed to be able to live in Arizona.
