Amanda Barren is an American journalist who currently serves as an anchor and reporter for Nexstar Media Group since 2021. She makes regular appearances on Nexstar media stations such as WOWK 13 News, WSAZ News and three other Nexstar media platforms. Prior to working at WOWK, Barren spent three years working as a field reporter and anchor for Pennsylvania-based WJET News. She even worked as a morning reporter and midday anchor for WKYC News.
Barren is a Cleveland, Ohio native who grew up as the only child in her family. She finished her old education from a private school situated in her hometown. Amanda graduated with a good GPA and went on to Ohio University where she studied journalism and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism. She was also an active lacrosse player while a college student.
