Previously, Ruggeri served as Senior Editor at BBC Future, as Special Projects Editor at BBC.com and as Editor at BBC Britain.
Amanda graduated from yale university with a Bachelor’s degree in History and also from the University of Cambridge with an M.Phil, in International Relations. She also worked as a political reporter in Washington, D.C.
Ruggeri also writes for publications such as Powder, New York Times, Guardian, Globe and Mail and National Geographic Traveler, to name just a few. His interest is mainly storytelling, digital multimedia and reporting.

Her companions dragged her across the yard and left her with her boyfriend’s friend, who had sex with her despite her inconsistency and enuresis. Ruggeri reported the rape to “a campus employee,” who provided him with a tissue and a leaflet outlining his options.
She claims she had a fleeting thought about revealing her story to a disciplinary board. “But I knew I couldn’t,” she says. I would have been devastated if one person, just one, had said what I feared most: that I had caused this in some way.”
