Prior to that, Anita received numerous awards, including a Golden Mike Award for “Best Breaking News Coverage” and a Regional Emmy for “Best Breaking News ” .Previously, she worked as a reporter for WTLV in Jacksonville.
Vogel was born and raised in California, United States. She graduated from Southern California University with a BA in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science. Shortly after graduation, she was hired as a secretary at ABC News in Washington. Anita moved from ABC News to work at KCRA in Sacramento. Where she worked as a reporter and substitute anchor. Later, Anita served as a reporter for WTLV-TV (NBC) in Jacksonville, Florida and for WJET-TV (ABC) in Erie, Pennsylvania.
Since joining the Fox News Channel’s Los Angeles Bureau in 2001, Vogel has covered big stories like Hurricane Katrina when it hit the region, the 2006 Mexican presidential election, and also interviewed former President Bill Clinton in 2008. Before that, she also covered the 2012 Aurora movie theater shooting and the burning of an explosive in Escondido, California. In addition, Vogel has also received numerous awards, including the Edward R.Murrow Award and the Association of Broadcasters of Pennsylvania award for Best Documentary, among others.
