Arisa Cox is a Canadian television and radio personality famous for hosting Canada’s biggest reality show called Big Brother Canada. Cox also works for the morning radio show on 91.7 The Bounce called Arisa and Ara. Earlier, she was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario. Previously, she worked for the CBS Network as an entertainment reporter.
She completed high school at Earl Haig before proceeding to Carleton University. While at University, Arisa graduated with a Bachelor of Honors in Journalism and a Minor in Film Studies from the Claude Watson School For the Arts. Shortly after graduation, she began her career as a journalist as an on-air reporter for CTV Ottawa. After that, Cox moved to A-Channel Ottawa, where she served as a weather reporter, creative and entertainment producer. She later left the network to work as an entertainment reporter for A-List and The Gill Deacon Show.
In addition to her journalism career, Arisa is also an actress who has appeared in films such as Instant Star, Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, The Smart Woman Survival Guide, and the CBC miniseries Guns. Furthermore, she worked for CBS Network as an entertainment reporter. Additionally, from 2007 to 2009, Cox co-hosted entertainment news magazine E! News weekend.
Cox joined the Big Brother Canada Show (BBCAN) in January 2013, as a host during the show’s first season. The series began airing in February of that year. That same year, she also became the co-host of The Morning Show on CHBN-FM in Alberta. After 7 years working as the show’s host, Cox was promoted to executive producer for Season 9. For her diligent work, she has received three Canadian Screen Awards nominations for Best Presenter and two Audience Choice nominations. Furthermore, Arisa also appeared as Brock St. Regis in the TV movie Christmas With a View. Before that, she also started hosting the morning show along with Ara on The Bounce.
