Asher Angel biography
Asher Angel is an American actor who debuted in the 2008 film Jolene starring Jessica Chastain as a young actor. Angel is best known for his role as Jonah Beck on the Disney Channel Original Series Andi Mack, which aired in 2017. He is well known for his role as Ryan Wolf on the television series Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders.
At age 5, Dov appeared in the 2008 film Jolene. Asher began his career by appearing in numerous theatrical productions. At age 7, Desert Stages Theater held auditions for the musical Oliver! and, with his parents’ permission, he auditioned and won a role in the production.
Angel’s mother promised to take him to Los Angeles if he would “try hard and [did] 30 [local] shows”, and he went on to act in several plays, including Mary Poppins, The Little Mermaid, Seussical and Into the Woods at the Desert Stages Theater in Scottsdale.
Asher’s mother kept her promise, and Dov traveled to Los Angeles, where, at age 12, he auditioned for and won the role of Jonah Beck in the Disney Channel television series Andi Mack. Dov’s entire family moved to Utah to accommodate filming the series.

Angel also appeared in the short films ‘How Do You Do That Voodoo?’ and ‘Hate at a Distance’. In 2017, Asher stated that he would not let his musical abilities go untapped. Dov also said he was simultaneously pursuing his singing and music career alongside acting. In June 2017, he performed live at the Future Disruptors showcase.
Asher Angel was a guest on the shows Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders and Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn. He is extremely popular on TikTok with over 4.8 million fans on his asherangel account.
Asher is also a singer. He’s released a few songs; “Snow Globe Wonderland” (2017), “Getaway” (2018), “Chemistry” (2018) and “One Thought Away” with Wiz Khalifa (2019).
