Ashlei King biography
Ashlei King is an American journalist who is currently working as a co-anchor on the FOX16 show Good Day Morning since joining the station in July 2018.
King is a native of San Antonio, Texas, and comes to his hometown of Arkansas where he spent four years at KABB FOX 29. While there, Ashlei was nominated for an Emmy for her work on a documentary highlighting Martin Luther King of the city. Jr. March, which is the largest in the country. She also worked for two years in Tulsa, Oklahoma, working for the CBS affiliate. While in Tulsa, Ashlei covered various stories, from tornadoes to destructive wildfires that burned many homes. Her most notable moment was when she did a live CNN interview with Don Lemon about a racially motivated shooting in Tulsa.
King is an active member of the National Association of Black Journalists.
When not working, Ashlei enjoys going out with her family, eating at simple restaurants, and burning calories at the gym.
