The beginning of the appearance of the Sanderson Sisters is happening! On Tuesday, Disney+ streamed yet another streamer of power for Hocus Pocus 2 – – which is one month away from rocking the bottom of the streaming goliath.
At the last banner, Winifred, Sarah and Mary Sanderson have a request for all fans. “Back and more wonderful than any other moment in memory,” read the words over a photo of the shocking sisters played by Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy.
By their energies, the sisters don’t seem to be far away for quite a while – – also 300 – – as they each have significantly more energetic faces.
The streamer’s appearance comes a day after news broke that two of the top performers would not be returning for the significantly anticipated spin-off. On Monday, the film’s boss Anne Fletcher revealed that Omri Katz and Vinessa Shaw, who played Max Dennison and Allison, will not appear in the upcoming film.
“We were hoping to root for each and every one of the people that the fans appreciated, and when you sat down with all the trappings and the story, you were like, how can we make this work?” Fletcher told Entertainment Weekly at another meeting.

“Of course, it was difficult to try to get them to be a part of it, as we looked at it – cautiously. You’re trying hard to keep up with the story, whether or not it appears as an apparition. People might agree, ‘They could be in the background!’ and I’m like, genuinely? Will you put the main film’s protagonists in the background and be satisfied? You will not be satisfied, you will be angry,” he added.
After Midler, Parker and Najimy, Doug Jones, who plays Billy Butcherson, is the super additional part of the main cast to return.
Set 29 years after the events of the main film, Hocus Pocus 2 sees the 17th century sisters re-established after optional schoolmates light the Black Flame Candle and start a totally unexpected encounter. Gradually, it depends on these surrogates to finish off the witches before they release the spray on Salem eventually.
