Bob Kelly’s Biography
Bob Kelly is an American traffic anchor who currently works as a traffic anchor at FOX29. He has been with FOX29 since October 2014. Kelly also hosts the regular morning segments “Kelly’s Classroom”, “Breakfast with Bob” and “Takeover”, which take him into the community to connect with “Good Day Philadelphia” viewers.
After his education, he is a proud graduate of North Catholic High School. He later joined Temple University where he majored in journalism. Most notably, he began his career as a radio disc jockey, working with Jerry Blavat, The Geator. He also worked up and down the dial of Philadelphia’s hottest radio stations until Traffic became news and he joined KYW News Radio with Traffic on the e2s.
Prior to joining FOX29, he was Traffic Anchor for 13 years on CBS 3 in Philadelphia. He also became the first Philadelphia traffic anchor to do his reporting in front of the green screen. Kelly joined FOX29 in 2014, where he has worked as a traffic anchor ever since.
