Bob Wischusen Biography
Bob Wischusen is an American journalist who currently works as a sports commentator for ESPN and a radio host for the New York Jets.
Born and raised in New Jersey, Wischusen attended and graduated from Union Catholic Regional High School in Scotch Plains. After he finished high school, he attended Boston College from which he graduated in 1993. He started his career as a sports reporter at WZBC. After graduating, he joined WQAM in Miami.
After leaving WQAM, he joined WFAN as a reporter. During his stay here, he began working on the Jets’ coverage of the station, hosting the pre-game, halftime, and post-game shows. When WFAN lost the Jets rights after the 1998 season, he followed coverage to WABC.
He joined ESPN in 2006 as a secondary commentator for college football and basketball. For the 2010 college season, he was paired with Brian Griese. In 2021, it was reported that he would begin calling play-by-play for the NHL on ESPN.
