Bobby Lee was born Robert Lee Jr. as the son of his parents – Robert and Jeanie Lee – on September 17, 1971, in San Diego, California. He is the first of two sons of the family. Already at the age of 12, Lee went through rehab after severe meth and marijuana abuse. At the age of 17, however, he got clean.
Lee left home at age 18 after graduating from Poway High School in Poway, California. He worked in restaurants and coffee shops to make ends meet while attending Palomar College.
His career in comedy began when he lost his job in the coffee shop in 1994 after the shop closed. He then worked in odd jobs at the La Jolla Comedy Store in San Diego and later tried his hand at standing up during one of the amateur nights at the club. A year later he received offers to open for Pauly Shore and Carlos Mencia. He also got a regular job at The Comedy Store in Los Angeles, owned by Mitzi, Pauly Shore’s mother.

Most notably, Lee fell back into drug abuse when a producer from Mad TV told him that they wouldn’t use him often in the series because he wasn’t funny enough. This ended his 12 years of sobriety, but he soon sobered up after Mad TV producer Lauren Dombrowski intervened in his case on the show.

Steve Lee was born on 25 August 1977 as Bobby’s younger brother. Like his brother, he struggled with drug addiction in the past. After meeting David Chloe, an underground artist, who brought him on board his famous podcast DVDASA – Double Vag Double Anal Sensitive Artist, Steve Lee performed with Money Mark, Asa Akira, Dylan Fujioka, Die Antwoord, Eddie Kim, Bobby Lee, and a whole bunch of others. Later he started his own podcast The Steebee Weebee Show, inspired by his brother.
