Bria Chatman is a renowned American journalist who currently works as a reporter and multimedia journalist at WBRC FOX6 News. She joined the WBRC in October 2018 as a Content Specialist.
A Birmingham native, Bria is excited to have the opportunity to share useful stories in her hometown. As for her schooling, Bria attended the University of Alabama, where he interned at the local television station, TV WVUAand obtained his degree in journalism.
In addition, she was a mentor to the Boys and Girls Club of West Alabama, president of the Capstone Association of Black Journalists, and an active member of the Society of Professional Journalists.
She says this is a full circle moment because she’s been working at a station she’s loved since she was young. Her dream has always been to work at FOX6. Furthermore, her passion for reporting is driven by her love for people and being in a position to share her stories with others.
During her free time, Bria enjoys being in the kitchen preparing a new recipe and spending quality time with her family, friends, and her beloved dog, Honey. She also enjoys watching classic television shows and keeping active.
