Briona Arradondo is a renowned American journalist who currently works as a general reporter for Fox 13 News since joining the network in August 2018.
Arradondo is a native of Atlanta and earned his bachelor’s degree in communication and Spanish from Berry College in Rome, Georgia, United States of America. She also earned her master’s degree in broadcast journalism and international affairs from American University in Washington, D.C.
Briona discovered her love of broadcasting after interning at WSB-TV in Atlanta. She then began her career in broadcast journalism at WTOV in Steubenville, Ohio, where she worked as an anchor and weekend reporter. After spending several years in the snowy Ohio Valley, Briona traveled south to Chattanooga, Tennessee, to work for WTVC as a reporter and anchor. While at WTVC, she won an Associated Press Award for her reporting on gangs.
Before moving to Tampa Bay, Briona worked as a reporter and anchor for the WSMV in Nashville. While in Music City, Briona won a regional Emmy Award for her reporting on breaking news during severe flooding in mid-Tennessee. She has also collaborated with international media, contributing live reports to BBC World News of the scene of the Waffle House mass shooting that killed four people in April 2018.
