Caitlin Nuclo is an award-winning American journalist who currently works at the WFSB as a weekend morning anchor. In 2017, she became a member of the broadcaster. Nucleo began her journalistic career at WFSB and is thrilled to be returning to the station. She interned with the station in 2007.
In the year 2000, Nuclo graduated Hamden High School. She later graduated in Journalism and Political Science fromand University of Connecticut In 2008.
Caitlin also spent seven years reporting and anchoring at various stations in eastern New York before returning to Norwalk in 2015 to take up an anchor position at News 12 Connecticut. She has covered severe weather events, flown with the Blue Angels and met many wonderful people who have trusted her to tell their stories.
Caitlin won several accolades, including one for her coverage of the mass shooting in Binghamton, New York, in 2009. The New York State Broadcasters Association, the Syracuse Press Club, and the Connecticut Society of Professional Journalists recognized her work.
Prior to joining WFSB, Nuclo worked as a news anchor for News 12 Connecticut from June 2015 to April 2017. She previously worked as a reporter for News Channel 9 WSYR from June 2012 to June 2015. She worked as an anchor and reporter at WBNG TV from June 2008 to June 2010, and then as an anchor on CNY Central from June 2010 to June 2012.
