Carole Simpson is an American journalist, news anchor, author and teacher. She is the most popular African-American woman who was the first to lead a national network news show in Chicago. She is also a three-time Emmy Award winner.
Furthermore, his journalist career started in radio at WCFL based in Chicago, Illinois. In 1982, she worked at ABC News, where she served as a weekend anchor, and on World News Tonight. Furthermore, she was the first woman in 1992 to moderate a presidential debate. This debate was between George Bush, Bill Clinton and Ross Perot, held in Richmond, Virginia. Furthermore, she was awarded the Journalist of the Year award by the National Association of Black Journalists.
Additionally, she was on the Board of Trustees of a subsidiary of Radio Television Digital News Association, Radio Television Digital News Foundation. She later developed the Carole Simpson Scholarship which is awarded annually. It is awarded to encourage and help minority students overcome obstacles in their careers.

Carole became Senior Leader in Residence at Emerson College School of Communication in Boston. She also teaches courses in public relations reporting and broadcast journalism.
