Charissa Thompson is an American journalist known for her successful coverage of sports both locally and nationally. She currently works for Fox Sports Live as a television presenter and sportscaster since June 2013. Previously, she worked for ESPN, Bristol, Connecticut. Charissa has also worked for Versus (NBCSN), Game Show Network (GSN) and Big Ten Network (BTN). Furthermore, she has also co-hosted SportsNation and Ultimate Beastmaster.
Thompson wanted to be a broadcaster from an early age. She went to Inglemoor High School, Kenmore, Washington. She then moved to California to attend community college. She later went to the University of California, Santa Barbara, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Society.
Charissa has also served as a reporter on several college football and basketball games. She later became the NFL’s National Football League (NFL) secondary reporter at Fox. She has also appeared on baseball shows such as the 2007 MLB All-Star Game Red Carpet Parade and The Baseball Report on Fox Sports Net (FSN). Charissa was the cover of the April 2009 issue of Access DirecTV.
She has also acted in various roles outside of sports broadcasting, such as the syndicated TV show Extra. Thompson was also the host of the Barstool Spelling Bee and also appears in advertisements for her father’s car dealership.
