
Christopher Judge Biography
Christopher Judge is an American actor famous for portraying Tael’c in Stargate SG-1 and Kratos in the 2018 video game God of War and its sequel God of War Ragnarock (2022) replacing longtime voice actor Terrence C. Carson. Born in Los Angeles, Judge always wanted to be an actor from a very young age.
He studied drama in high school and later attended the University of Oregon on a football scholarship and was a Pacific-10 Conference player. Jude always knew that sport would be a stepping stone to an acting career, and once he got the scholarship, he didn’t hesitate to take it. He led in kickoff return yards in 1983-1984 and interceptions in 1984. He also won the Casanova Award in 1982.
Later, in 1989, he began studying at the Haward Fine Studio in LA. Some of his early roles in the 1990s were Bird on a Wire, Cadence, Neon Rider and MacGyver. Most notably, his biggest role came in 1997’s Stargate SG-1. Throughout his career, he has won numerous awards and nominations.
He was nominated for a Saturn Award in 2002 in the category of Best Supporting Actor in a Television Series for his work on Stargate SG-1. On February 13 at the 2019 DICE Awards, he accepted the Outstanding Achievement in Character award for his work as Kratos in God of War. In the same year, he was nominated for the British Academy Games Award for Performance at the 15th British Academy Games Awards.
Sadly, he lost to Jeremy Davies. Recently, in 2022, he won Best Performance at the Game Awards 2022 for his performance in God of War Ragnarock as Kratos.
