Colin Cowherd is an American sports media personality who is currently the host of The Herd with Collin Cowherd on ESPN Radio and ESPNU. Hand co-hosted SportsNation on ESPN2 alongside Michelle Breadle and later Charissa Thompson. He joined FOX Sports and Premiere Networks in September 2015 as a television, radio and digital personality.
A native of Grayland, Washington, Cowherd graduated in 1985 from Eastern Washington University, where he began his broadcasting career.

Cowherd’s career also includes stints as a sports anchor at Tampa’s WTVT-TV, where he won a local Sports Emmy for “Buc Sunday”, and as a sports director at Las Vegas KVBC-TV, where he won multiple Nevada Sportscaster of the Year awards. He started his career as an announcer for the Las Vegas Stars baseball team of the Pacific Coast League.
Cowherd’s first book, “You HERD Me!” was a New York Times bestseller in hardcover in 2013, spending five weeks on the list. In October 2015, her second book “Raw: My 100% Grade-A, Unfiltered, Inside Look at Sports” was released. Rogue Ales & Spirits, based in Newport, Oregon, collaborated with Cowherd in August 2015 to launch the microbeer “Blunt N’ Bitter” – the official beverage of Cowherd and THE HERD.
Cowherd, in collaboration with iHeartMedia, launched The Volume, a new podcast network, in February 2021.
