Daniele Hamamdjian is an Egyptian-Canadian television journalist who is currently working as a special correspondent for Global News in Jerusalem since October 2023. She has been an international correspondent in CCTV News’ London bureau since 2014.
Furthermore, his international training and experience are reflected in his passion for traveling the world and the four languages he speaks. This includes fluent French and English, as well as conversational Arabic and Italian. She began her career as a general assignment reporter at the Santa Monica Daily Press in California. Although previously assigned to CTV News’ Ottawa Bureau, Hamamdjian traveled extensively with former Prime Minister Stephen Harper. Additionally, she also provided coverage of significant new Canadian stories, including the Attawapiskat First Nation’s 2011 housing crisis, which led to testimony of alleged rampant sexual abuse in Attawapiskat and Indigenous communities across the country.
Additionally, Hamamdjian and the CTV News team were also the first international reporting team on the ground in Haiti following the devastating earthquake that shook the country in 2010. As a correspondent for the London News Bureau, Hamamdjian reported on a wide range of international news events, including the war in Ukraine and the resulting refugee crisis.
