Darla Miles is an American journalist who currently works as a general reporter for WABC-TV’s eyewitness news team. Miles joined the station in 2009 covering various international news such as the arrest of Dominique Strauss-Khan and the attempted terrorist bombing in Times Square. During her time as a reporter, she also interviewed such luminaries as Senator John McCain, Jesse Jackson and Oprah Winfrey.
Prior to joining WABC-TV, Miles worked as a reporter/anchor for WFAA-TV in Dallas, where she was nominated for a Lone Star Emmy Award. She also worked as a reporter for WTVD-TV in Raleigh, where her work on the Duke University lacrosse rape investigation was featured as an ABC World News exclusive on Good Morning America. Additionally, Miles worked for WJBF-TV in Augusta, Georgia as Aiken Bureau Chief, Anchor and Reporter.
Darla started her radio broadcasting career at WCLK Radio in Atlanta, which later landed her a position at ONDA Madrid Radio in Madrid, Spain. She then used her Spanish fluency to transition to CNN Radio Notícias and was part of the original team that launched CNN en Español as a 24-hour network. Furthermore, he worked as a weekend anchor for CNN Headline News.
Miles is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists and Investigative Reporters and Editors. She also devotes most of her free time to mentoring young African-American women.
