Darren Haynes is an American sporting director for the WUSA. He is also working as a sports announcer and anchor. In 2017, after Brett Haber resigned, Haynes acquired his position.
Prior to joining the WUSA, Darren worked as a sports anchor for SportsCenter for ESPN. He also anchored sports to Al Jazeera America In New York. Darren also worked for WHDH in Boston for about a year. Darren used to work as a side reporter for the Thursday Night Lights High School football program at KMYS.
For three years he worked for KGBT-TV in Harlingen, Texas. Prior to that, he had worked in Alpena, Michigan for WBKB-TV and WLAJ as a sports anchor and reporter. Darren attended Amity Regional High School in Woodbridge, Connecticut.
