Deborra-Lee Furness is an Australian actress and producer who rose to fame as the wife of famous actor and X-men star, Hugh Jackman. She is also known for her roles in TV series and films such as No Man’s Land (1974), Division 4 (1975), Evil Angels (1988), Celia (1988) and Waiting (1991). Deborra even spent time working as a news director for Channel 9 News before making her acting debut.
Furness was born in Annandel, a suburban neighborhood in New South Wales, but raised in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. She attended and completed high school in a hometown. Thereafter, Deborra attended secretarial school to learn shorthand and typing at the age of eighteen.
She then landed her first job at age nineteen, working as a news director for Channel 6. Deborra spent nearly two to three years before starting work as a co-host on a daytime show called No Man’s Land and alongside Mckie de Stoop .
