Drew Christopher Brees was born on January 15, 1979, in Austin, Texas, in the United States. He comes from the athletic stars line, his father played basketball for the Texas A&M Aggie’s Men’s Team, while his mother was an all-state champion in sports during high school. His uncle Marty Akins was the quarterback of the All-Southwest Conference in 1975, while his paternal grandfather, Ray Akins, was a great coach in the history of Texas high school football.
