She also gained more fame for portraying the role of Heather Dubar in House of Cards and Elizabeth Keane in Homeland. Other famous Marvel roles are in Ten Hundred Kings (2000), The Dying Gaul (2005), The Other Woman (2009), A Dog Year (2009), Top Girls (2008) and Long Day’s Journey into the Light.
Marvel was born in Los Angeles, California, but grew up in Mohnton, Pennsylvania. She finished high school in her hometown. She then enrolled and graduated from the Interlochen Arts Academy. Elizabeth then earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Performing Arts from the Julliard School.
Elizabeth made her acting debut doing off-broadway plays. Her famous theater productions are Measure for Measure performed in 1992, Thérèse Raquin and Misalliance (1998).
