Emily Florez biography
Emily Florez is an American journalist who works as a weekday anchor on TVX ABC4 News in Greater Salt Lake City.
Florez served as a reporter, anchor and weather expert at the Idaho Falls-based KIDK. She covered breaking news and specialized in crime, politics, social services and agriculture. Emily served as a fill-in anchor and host of Eastern Idaho Miracle Network Telethon Primary Children’s Medical Center.
With the help of ENPS and Avid, Emily was able to film, produce and edit daily packages. She also produced and anchored 2-3 minutes of live weather segments as the channel’s weather expert.
From June to December 2009, Emily worked as a news intern at KTVX ABC4 News in the Greater Salt Lake City area, where she conducted interviews, recorded tapes and transcribed them in the desired format. She developed and presented daily story ideas to both the Assignment Editor and Assistant News Director.
In 2003, Emily enrolled at Brigham Young University for her degree and later graduated from the University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
