Emily Procter is an American actress whose roles in television shows and movies have been a delight.
Emily is also known for her role as Calleigh Duquesne in CSI Miami and her recurring role as FBI agent Amanda Callaway in the fourth season of the USA Network’s crime drama White Collar.

Adopted by William Procter, a doctor, and Barbara Procter, a social worker, Emily was born on October 8, 1968, but was three years old when her parents divorced and left her with her older brother Whit, who was also adopted.
Emily’s new parents grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina with good care and attended a good school. She graduated from Ravenscroft School in Raleigh. During her studies at East Carolina University, she became a member of the Alpha Delta Pi Association. She later graduated in journalism and dance and then took a job as a weather woman for a local television station.
Emily explained why she earned a degree in journalism and dance rather than theater arts because the theater department was fully staffed at the time of her application.
After graduating, Emily moved to Los Angeles, where she took on a number of small roles in films such as Jerry Maguire (1996). In the same year, she also played the guest role in the ABC superhero drama Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, in which she played Lana Lang. Her first film, however, is Jerry Maquire – a romantic comedy, drama, and sports series.

She appeared briefly in the television movie The Dukes of Hazzard: Goodbye! (1997) as Mavis. She also appeared in the drama Body Shots (1999) as Whitney Bryant. From there she had guest roles in many sitcoms, among others she played Joey’s Love Interest in Friends.
From 2000 to 2002 and 2006, Procter had a recurring role in the NBC political drama The West Wing, in which she played White House Assistant Attorney Ainsley Hayes, and she also played a brief love interest in Matt LeBlanc’s character Joey in the NBC sitcom Friends.
Her most recent roles include the USA Network’s crime drama White Collar (2013), where she played a recurring role in the last two episodes of season four.
