Emma Jade’s biography
Emma Jade is an Emmy Award-winning American journalist currently working as a weekend anchor for 12 Today on KPNX 12 News NBC. She joined 12 News in December 2010. Jade began her career in New York as an associate producer for ABC Primetime.
Jade graduated in Brigham Young University in 2008. After her graduation, she started in television as a production assistant on ABC’s hidden camera news show “What Would You Do?” She also served as an associate producer at ABC, then at NBC to cover the 2008 Olympics.
From ABC, Emma traveled the world with NBC Universal to cover the 2008 Beijing Olympics. She later won her first Emmy Award for her coverage. She then moved to Idaho, where Emma served as an anchor and reporter at KIFI, the ABC affiliate in Idaho Falls.
In 2010, Jade joined the NBC team again for the Vancouver Winter Olympics. It was while working in Idaho Falls when she got her job at Vally on 12 News.
Currently, Emma serves as a news anchor on KPNX Channel 12 in Phoenix. Emma has covered several stories including Wallow Fire in 2011 and the London Olympics in 2012. She joined Team 12 in December 2010.
For her work, Emma has received six Emmy Awards, including Best Morning Newscast for Today in AZ. She also spent a month backstage on The Today Show, serving alongside AI Roker, Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb.
During her free time, Emma loves spending time with her family, going on adventures around Arizona like desert hikes and trips to local museums. She also loves drinking Diet Coke, painting and sleeping.
