Esme Murphy is an American news anchor and reporter who has currently worked for WCCO-TV since December 1990. Murphy is the Sunday anchor for WCCO-TV. Furthermore, he is also a weekend talk show host on WCCO Radio.
Murphy joined Harvard University in 1977 and graduated with a degree in Journalism in 1981. After graduation, she began working at the Chattanooga-based CBS station, then Tennessee and Memphis, where she worked for the ABC affiliate. Later, in 1990, she joined WCCO-TV.
Murphy started at the CBS station in Chattanooga. She traveled across the state for a while and eventually settled in Memphis, where she spent some time working for the ABC network. Currently, Esme is hosting the radio talk show on the station, which airs over the weekend.
In his career, Murphy has won numerous awards, including the Associated Press First Place Awards for non-punctual reporting, reporting and investigative reporting.
