Faith Daniels biography
Faith Daniels is an American television anchor, reporter and talk show host. She is best known for working as an anchor on the CBS Morning News and NBC’s Today Show.
Daniels went to school at Trinity High School in Washington, Pennsylvania. She later went to Bethany College in Bethany, West Virginia. At Bethany College, Faith became a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. Faith’s media career began in the early 1980s at WTRF-TV in Wheeling, West Virginia.
Furthermore, Faith acted in the ABC and CBS affiliates in Peoria, Illinois. She has also worked for WBNS-TV in Columbus, Ohio and WTAE-TV in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Daniels’ career in the national news began in 1985, when she joined CBS News to work as an anchor for CBS Morning News. At the time, she was 28 years old and one of the youngest anchors on national news.
In 1990, Faith joined NBC to work as an anchor for ‘Today’ and later became the host of ‘News at Sunrise’. Additionally, she was the first journalist to host her own national daily talk show titled A Closer Look. The show was later renamed Faith Daniels and became part of the network’s daytime programming.
On her show, she was able to interview Stacey Koon, one of the officers involved in the 1992 Rodney King beating. In 2006, she served as a debate moderator in the Robin Williams film Man of the Year. Currently, Daniels is a freelance journalist and media consultant. She works with leading CEOs and corporate executives on strategic messaging and delivery skills.
