Biography of Florian Munteanu
Florian Munteanu is a German-born Romanian actor and boxer known by his ring name Big Nasty. As an actor, he is famous for his role as boxer Viktor Drago in Creed II (2018) and Creed III (2023). He also appeared as Razor Fist in Shang-Chi and the Legend of Ten Rings (2021).
Raised in Bogen, he moved to Munich to study at the Hochschule Mittweida University of Applied Sciences. Munteanu defended his BA thesis in 2014 and competed in boxing in Germany under the ring name “Big Nasty”.
He had his first film role in Bogat, a 2016 German-Romanian film shot in Munich. Most notably, his big breakthrough came in 2018 when Sylvester Stallone was looking for a European heavyweight boxer to play Viktor Drago in Creed II. He is set to reprise that role in Creed III (2023). Additionally, he joined the season 3 lineup of Vikings: Valhalla as General George Maniakes.
