Biography of Gabby Logan
Gabrielle Nicole Logan is a famous Welsh radio and television presenter. Nicole currently works as a sports presenter for BBS Sport. Previously, she worked as an international rhythmic gymnast representing Wales and Great Britain. She hails from Leeds, West Riding of Yorkshire, England. In 2020, she was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for New Year Honours.
Logan went to school at Cardinal Heenan High School and later attended Notre Dame Sixth Form College in Leeds. While attending high school, she participated in sports games like netball and high jump. Her sporting career took off when she was placed in rhythmic gymnastics representing Wales at the 1990 Commonwealth Games in Auckland. She made her first TV appearance in 1991 when she took part in the Rose of Tralee competition as the Leeds Rose. Furthermore, she also plays golf and runs.
After graduating from Durham University, Yorath was hired as a presenter for Metro Radio in Newcastle. She later joined Sky Sports as a presenter and worked there for two years before moving to the ITV Network. On ITV, Logan served as a sports presenter and covered major sports news including the UEFA Champions League. In 2016, Gabby left ITV and joined BBS Sport. While there, she covered the Rugby World Cup and presented Britain’s Brilliant Prodigies show.

During his time at BBS Sport, Logan covered major high profile events such as the FA Cup fourth place finish between Luton Town and Blackburn Rovers. She also presented Final Score from 2009 to 2013. In 2008, Gabby replaced Craig Doyle as presenter of BBC Six Nations Championship coverage. She later became BBC Sport’s lead athletics presenter. From 2013 to 2014 she covered the World Championships in Athletics and the European Championships in Athletics.
Prior to that, Gabby also presented the BBC One series I Love My Country with Micky Flanagan and Frank Skinner. Additionally, she was a member of The Invictus Games on BBC One as well as the media team. In addition, she also organized coverage of the BBC IAAF in London and the IAAF World Championships in Athletics. In 2022, Logan hosted coverage of the Six Nations Women’s Championship.
In addition to her work, Gabby is also involved with charity events and, as of now, she is the Patron of The Disabilities Trust. She and her husband Kenny are former presidents of the children’s charity Sparks. In 2013, Nicole was appointed as the first Chancellor of Leeds Trinity University. Throughout her career, Logan has been nominated and awarded several awards as “Most Popular Entertainment Host” in 2014.
