Biography of Gabriela Teissier
Gabriela Teissier is an American journalist who currently serves as the morning news anchor for KMEX-DT based in Los Angeles. She is the host of Uforia Audio Network’s morning radio show Tu Von En Los Angeles.
As a child, she toured doing backing vocals for singers such as Luis Miguel, Cristian Castro, José José and Guadalupe Pineda. Additionally, she provided vocals as Terk for Phil Collins’ single “Rompiendo el Campamento”, which appeared on the Spanish version of the 1999 Tarzan soundtrack.
Teissier was born and raised in Mexico City, where he attended the German school, Colegio Aleman de Alexander von Humboldt. Later, she graduated from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City. While in college, she acted in television commercials and played the role of “Terk” in Spanish in the Disney films Tarzan and Acapulco HEAT and Cinemamotion.

Her first media role was as an anchor for VMS TV Noticias in Telerey, Mexico. Teissier came to the United States in the late 1990s, when he was offered a job presenting the Edicion Espacial Midday program on the Telemundo Network.
After Telemundo, Teissier worked for Univision as the anchor of the midday show Escandalo TV for the launch of Unimas. However, she returned to California in 2003 and since then, she has been the main anchor of the morning news show, A Primera Hora on Univision’s Los Angeles station KMEX-DT.
