Gasia Mikaelian is an American journalist who currently works as a lead anchor at KTVU in the Bay Area, California, anchoring her Channel 2 news show at 7pm most nights of the week. She joined the station in 2005 and, prior to that, worked as an anchor and reporter at KPRC-TV in Houston, Texas.
After graduating from high school, she joined Las Positas College where she took writing classes for two years. Mikaelian then attended San Diego State University with the aim of becoming a radio broadcaster.
After graduating, she started her career at KWST in Yuma, Arizona. Mikaelian has worked for a year as a reporter since joining the station in 1999. Before joining KWST, she got a job at WAFF where she reported on all the news from local news to sports. After a two-year stint at WAFF, she moved to San Diego, where she joined XETV.
